Google Maps

Posted by Karl Grice on November 13, 2007

I have placed all primary and secondary schools on google maps. So if you go to http://maps.google.co.uk/maps and type in the name of the school it will lead you directly there. This should help all of us poor people without Sat Nav. ;-)

Online Interactive Learning (OIL) – coming soon

Posted by Andrew Jones on November 6, 2007

You may be aware that a new e-learning system has recently been launched across Aberdeen City Council. It’s called Online Interactive Learning, or OIL for short, and every Council employee will eventually be given access to it. The system can be used by employees to undertake training online, either as stand-alone online modules, or to reinforce face to face courses they have attended.

The system also has a course booking facility. This will allow staff in schools to browse through all of our face to face courses and book themselves onto a course at the click of a button. We plan to launch the booking system with all of our face to face courses in early 2008.

User accounts for all staff in schools are currently being created, and colleagues should receive an email in January with details of their username and initial password.

For more information contact Andrew Jones
